Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways to contribute — from on-mountain instruction to event support. Find the role that fits your skills and schedule.

  • Adaptive Ski / Snowboard Instructor

As an Adaptive Sports Instructor, you'll work directly with athletes of all ages and abilities in skiing, snowboarding, and adaptive disciplines. Lessons may be taught one-on-one or with more involved students in small teams, typically up to a 3:1 instructor-to-student ratio.

Volunteers receive specialized training in adaptive teaching techniques, equipment use, athlete support, and mountain safety. No prior adaptive experience or certification is required, although volunteers should be confident intermediate skiers or snowboarders capable of skiing a variety of terrain at Mount Snow.

For many volunteers, this role becomes much more than teaching a sport. It's an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, help athletes achieve personal goals, and become part of a supportive community dedicated to changing lives through adaptive sports.

  • Event Volunteer

Help at Winterfest, ELEVATE, and other ASMS fundraising events.
