    Bluebirds Golf Program

    The Bluebird Golf Program is a 10-week summer training program designed to prepare athletes for the Vermont Special Olympics Golf Tournament on September 20, 2026. Open to adaptive athletes ages 8 and older, this program provides participants with the opportunity to learn and develop golf skills in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment.

    Summer Hiking

    Summer Adaptive Hiking provides adaptive athletes ages 5 and older with the opportunity to explore the outdoors while enjoying the beauty of the Mount Snow and Deerfield Valley region. Guided by Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow staff and volunteers, participants will experience a variety of accessible trails and outdoor destinations throughout Southern Vermont. Hikes are designed to accommodate a wide range of abilities and focus on building confidence, promoting physical activity, encouraging social interaction, and fostering a connection with nature. Participants will have the opportunity to explore local forests, scenic overlooks, mountain trails, and other natural attractions while learning about the area's wildlife, ecology, and environment. Whether you are an experienced hiker or simply enjoy spending time outdoors, Summer Adaptive Hiking offers a fun, supportive, and inclusive way to stay active and discover the natural beauty of Vermont.

    Lake Whitingham Water Day

    Spend a summer day on beautiful Lake Whitingham with Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow. Participants will enjoy a scenic pontoon boat ride, light snacks, and time with friends, volunteers, and staff while taking in the natural beauty of southern Vermont.

    Blueberry Cooking

    Blueberry Cooking gives adaptive athletes the opportunity to learn practical kitchen skills in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment. Participants work together to prepare a blueberry-themed recipe while developing confidence, independence, and teamwork through hands-on learning. Led by volunteer Dustin and supported by Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow staff and volunteers, this activity encourages creativity, communication, and skill development while introducing participants to the joy of cooking. From measuring and mixing ingredients to enjoying the finished product, Blueberry Cooking provides a rewarding experience that combines learning, friendship, and fun.

    Family Float With Zoar Outdoors

    Family Float with Zoar Outdoor offers adaptive athletes and their families the opportunity to experience the excitement of whitewater rafting in a safe, supportive, and professionally guided environment. Participants will travel the scenic Fife Brook section of the Deerfield River, enjoying gentle Class I and II rapids, beautiful mountain views, and time together on the water. Designed for participants ages 5 and older, this adventure promotes confidence, teamwork, and outdoor exploration while creating lasting memories with family, friends, volunteers, and staff. Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow works closely with Zoar Outdoor to provide appropriate support for each participant, including volunteer assistance and family involvement when needed. Sponsored by Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow and made possible through scholarship support, this program expands access to outdoor recreation and encourages participants to discover new challenges, build confidence, and experience the joy of adventure.

    Fishing with Anthony

    Fishing with Anthony provides adaptive athletes with the opportunity to experience the joy of fishing in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment. Participants will spend the day outdoors learning basic fishing skills, exploring Vermont's waterways, and enjoying time with friends, family members, volunteers, and staff. Whether catching a first fish or building upon existing skills, participants will gain confidence, develop outdoor recreation skills, and create lasting memories while enjoying the beauty of Southern Vermont. Sponsored by Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow, this program encourages participants to connect with nature, stay active, and discover new recreational opportunities in a welcoming community setting.

  • I Love Art

    I Love Art provides adaptive athletes ages 5 and older with the opportunity to explore their creativity through engaging, hands-on art experiences. Led by local artist Jane, co-founder of I Love Art Studio, participants will learn new artistic techniques while creating projects such as watercolor paintings and personalized wooden memory boxes.

    Blueberry Parade Decoration & Participation

    The Blueberry Festival Float Decoration & Parade Participation program gives adaptive athletes the opportunity to take part in one of the Deerfield Valley's most beloved community traditions. Participants work together with volunteers, family members, and staff to help decorate the Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow float before joining the annual Blueberry Festival Parade. This fun and festive activity encourages creativity, teamwork, community involvement, and pride while showcasing the inclusive spirit of Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow. Participants will enjoy being part of a memorable local celebration while connecting with friends, families, volunteers, and community members throughout the Deerfield Valley.

    Summer Hiking with Game Warden Kyle

    Adaptive Hiking with Game Warden Kyle provides adaptive athletes ages 5 and older with the opportunity to explore the outdoors while enjoying the beauty of the Mount Snow and Deerfield Valley region. Guided by Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow staff, volunteers, and Vermont Game Warden Kyle, participants will experience accessible trails and natural destinations throughout Southern Vermont. Designed to accommodate a wide range of abilities, these hikes encourage physical activity, confidence, social interaction, and a deeper connection with nature. Along the way, participants will learn about local wildlife, conservation, outdoor safety, and the unique ecosystems that make Vermont such a special place to explore. Whether discovering a favorite trail, spotting wildlife, or simply enjoying time outdoors with friends, Adaptive Hiking offers a fun, supportive, and inclusive way to stay active while experiencing the natural beauty of Vermont.

  • Alpine Skiing

    Alpine Skiing

    There is no single way to ski. From first-time skiers using adaptive equipment to experienced athletes refining advanced skills, our alpine skiing program is built around each individual's abilities and goals. Using specialized equipment and proven teaching techniques, we help every athlete discover what is possible on snow.

  • Snowboarding

    Snowboarding

    There is no single way to ride. Our adaptive snowboarding program provides personalized instruction for athletes with a wide range of abilities. Through adaptive teaching techniques and a supportive environment, riders develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong passion for the sport.

  • Bi-Skiing

    Bi-Skiing

    An exhilarating adaptive skiing experience for athletes with lower-body disabilities, bi-skiing opens the mountain to individuals with a wide range of physical abilities. From fully supported rides to active participation through tipping and steering movements, every lesson is tailored to the athlete's goals and abilities.

  • Special Olympics Competition Program

    Special Olympics Competition Program

    Named after Mount Snow's historic Bluebird Chairlift, the Bluebirds are ASMS's Special Olympics competition team. Athletes train each Sunday to prepare for the Vermont Special Olympics Winter Games while developing skiing skills, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

  • School Programs

    School Programs

    Offered in partnership with Mount Snow's School Program, this five-week adaptive winter sports experience allows students with disabilities to participate alongside their school community. Athletes receive individualized instruction in adaptive skiing, bi-skiing, or snowboarding while building confidence and mountain skills.
